Reimagining Communities One Step at a Time
Make A Difference
Step Beyond is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to reentry, reimagining, and rebuilding communities by fostering a culture of rehabilitation, reintegration, and support. We firmly believe that everyone deserves a second chance at life. Our multifaceted approach encompasses various programs and initiatives that address the challenges faced by incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals, with the goal of breaking the cycle of recidivism and creating a more just and inclusive society.
Santa’s Harlem Workshop is a holiday experience centered on creating lasting memories for children and families through a special photo opportunity with Santa. The heart of the event is the moment each child spends with Santa—Capturing a joyful, celebratory photograph that families can treasure for years to come.
In addition to the photo experience, each child also receives a thoughtfully selected gift as a token of care and holiday cheer. Together, these moments reflect Step Beyond’s commitment to honoring childhood joy, dignity, and connection within the community.
Santa’s Harlem Workshop is made possible through the generosity of volunteers, donors, and community partners who believe that every child deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and remembered during the holiday season.

Thanksgiving Giveaway “2025”
Step Beyond Harlem hosted a Thanksgiving Food Giveaway to support families in our community during the holiday season. The event provided households with essential groceries, fresh ingredients, and seasonal items needed to prepare a warm and nourishing Thanksgiving meal.
Our team and volunteers worked together to create a welcoming and respectful atmosphere for every family who attended. Through this initiative, SBH continues its commitment to uplifting the community, offering support where it’s needed, and helping families celebrate the holiday with comfort and gratitude.
Community Halloween Party “2025”
Step Beyond Harlem hosted a fun-filled Halloween Party for children in the community, bringing families together for an afternoon of joy and celebration. Kids arrived in creative costumes and enjoyed a lively mix of food, drinks, treats, games, activities, and exciting giveaways. The event created a safe and festive space for children to express themselves, build friendships, and experience the warmth of community support.
“Together, we can step beyond the confines of the past and build a brighter future for all.”
